• German catalogs exhibition reviews the technologies in the field of renewable energy in Asharqia Chamber

           The deputy chairman of Asharqia Chamber Mohammed bin Saad Al Faraj has stressed the strength of trade relations between the Kingdom and Germany, pointing that a number of German companies have proved themselves in the Saudi market and enjoyed a good reputation because of the quality of its products.
    Faraj said during the German exhibition of catalogs organized by the Chamber in cooperation with the Arabic Saudi German office, for Economic Affairs (GESALO) Monday, May 16, 2016 at its headquarters president said such exhibitions contribute informed business sector on the most important investment opportunities in addition to the industries that care about the quality of their products.
    Faraj said during the exhibition, which was attended by Secretary General of the Chamber Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al Wabel and German Industry and Trade deputy to Saudi, Bahrain and Yemen, Oliver Oymz and a number of interested to the need to strengthen trade relations looks for partnerships with Saudi businessmen and catch the investment opportunities in accordance with the Kingdom Vision 2030.
    For his part, Oymz said that the exhibition includes 18 companies representing a range of the latest technologies and devices in the power and equipment areas for power plants, steel products, petrochemicals, mining, cars, aviation, pharmaceuticals, health care, infrastructure, and services for industrial purchases and a wide range of dairy products. He urged Saudi companies to participate in the upcoming trade fairs in Germany. He pointed in particular to the trade fair IFAT, which is considered a pioneer in the sector of water and income, waste and raw materials management, which will take place in Munich on May 30 to 3 June 2016.Oymzfocused on the possibility of cooperation in the field of renewable energy, noting that Germany is a pioneer in this  field, as its share of energy generated from the sun, wind and water has exceeded more than 30% in 2015, pointing that a specialized delegation in renewable energy will visit the Kingdom during the month of October to consider providing appropriate technological solutions to the development of renewable energy sector in the Kingdom. Worth to be mentioned that the amount of bilateral trade between the two countries witnessed a rise reached more than 11 billion euros in 2015, with imports from the Kingdom accounted for about one billion euros while exports to the Kingdom amounted to 10 billion euros.
